I joined the JDC in 1985 when I bought my first Jaguar – a Series 3 E-Type. I have been an active member for most of the intervening years and, today, wear a number of hats including that of Club Chairman. I also organise many of our JDC tours and make regular contributions to our excellent monthly magazine, Jaguar Driver. I initiated and still help maintain the JDC’s enviable Facebook presence and until recently, was chairman of the Club’s South Staffordshire Area 41 for nearly 20 years.
I am passionate about the Jaguar Drivers’ Club and committed to ensuring that it meets the needs of our members for many years to come. Working with my fellow Board members, I have helped introduce a number of innovations. As well as a magazine that stands head and shoulders above those of most car clubs, we have a new and user-friendly website and our member services continue to grow.
Since acquiring my E-Type, I have added an XJ Coupé to my collection, while my daily driver is an XJ X350. I attend most JDC events and many classic car meetings as well so, if you see me, please come and say hello!

My enthusiasm for cars began at an early age with Corgi models in the 1950s. By the age of 17, I owned my own vehicle and then worked my way through a variety of cars that were definitely old but not considered classics at the time.
I graduated to Jaguars in 1990 when I bought a 3.8 Mk 2 manual/overdrive. I joined the Jaguar Drivers’ Club and met Harold Mayer, who kindled my interest in concours. He enrolled me in the Mk 2 Register, I joined the committee and have been an active member ever since, offering technical advice.
Over the past 20 years, my work has taken me all over the world, on business improvement projects of various types. I have always driven Jaguars and have had five in total, four of which I still own. In recent years, I have become more involved with the Club, supporting many of the main events. I joined the JDC Board in October 2018 and, as Commercial Director, am applying my managerial skills to the business administration of the Club. I am also Concours Liaison Officer for all JDC Registers.
My stable of Jaguars consists of a Mk 2, my daily drivers – an X300 Sovereign and an X351 XJL Portfolio – plus a Series 3 E-Type 2+2, which is currently being restored.

JLR and JDHT Liaison & Modern S-Type Register Chairman
I have been a Jaguar fan since I was very young. I was just seven when my dad bought a two- year-old S-Type – a 1967 3.4-litre. The car was stunning and I'm glad to say that it never appeared in The Sweeney, so it remained in immaculate condition.
The family allegiance later turned to Daimlers and I still own the last one my father owned – a 1978 Sovereign, which he bought in 1981. My dad was a member of the JDC for many years and as a teenager, I remember attending many Club events. When Dad finally passed away in 1995, I took over the care of the Daimler and joined the JDC. I bought my first new Jaguar in 2000 – a 3.0-litre S-Type with manual transmission. Since then I have owned three more new S-Types and still have the last one – a Radiance Red 2007 S-Type R, which some of you might know as 'Kitty'.
I took on the role of Modern S-Type Chairman and News Correspondent in March 2020 and I am still working to develop the Register. Kitty helped lift the profile of the group by winning the JDC Champion of Champions Trophy at the NEC's Lancaster Classic Motor Show in November 2021.
I joined the Board in March 2022 and look forward to supporting the other Directors in helping our membership enjoy these fantastic cars and preserve the heritage of Jaguar and Daimler cars for future generations to enjoy.

Cars are in my blood and I probably caught the bug from my father, who had three cars in the mid-60s. Like me, he was very hands-on where cars are concerned and you are more likely to find me in the garage than sat in front of the TV.
It was my huge regard for Sir William Lyons that inspired me to build up a collection of Jaguars over the past 42 years, most of them coming to me either broken or in need of serious repair. They have taken me on many road adventures and are part of the family – bringing babies home from hospital, attending end-of-school proms, weddings, and other special occasions.
I have been a member of the JDC for as long as I have had Jaguars and for more than 30 of those years, I have been Chairman of the Club’s E-Type Register. We run an E-Type anniversary tour to Geneva every five years, organise track days at Goodwood and an annual E-Type Day at Prescott Hill Climb, where we hold the concours. The E-Type Register also hosts regular workshops, where I talk about the technical issues of running and maintaining these magnificent cars.

I am from an aerospace engineering background, which taught me precision and patience, along with an enquiring mind as to how systems and devices should work. Away from work, I spent a few years making Jaguar six-cylinder XK motors perform on methanol fuel over the quarter-mile and the experience made me proficient on Jaguar’s finest products. In the summer of 1980, I acquired my Series 1 E-Type FHC and joined the JDC and I have never forgotten the support I received from the Club, both nationally and locally. I received expert advice and made many good friends at the time and I am delighted to be able to return to the JDC some of that dividend I was given. I very much enjoy meeting fellow members and hearing of their Jaguar stories, and if I can assist with any of the technical help, I am always happy to share my insights and knowledge.
The history of the JDC and the work done by its founders – with so many folk giving of their time over the decades and still doing so today – is something I find fascinating. As part of the Jaguar Drivers’ Club events team and in taking charge of merchandising, I am honoured to be a small part of the JDC family.

I am a Lancastrian and have spent more than 60 years in the motoring world, working on what we now call ‘classic’ cars when they were everyday vehicles. Through my own company, Autotune Ltd – a family business – I have been designing and building the Jaguar-based Aristocat Replica for 40 years.
My work combines with my hobby, involving historic racing car rebuilds plus race and trackside preparation. I’ve also worked as a support engineer on rallies such as the Monte Carlo and, with my own Lancashire Automobile Club, I helped plan and, as, Clerk of the Course, organise the week-long Sir William Lyons Centenary Rally between Blackpool and Coventry in 2001.
I have won two Regional Hillclimb and two Sprint Championships, plus two Historic National Racing Championships. Racing has taken me across Europe to South Africa, USA and Canada, making many friends and useful contacts along the way.
The JDC 4-Hills Championship encouraged me to return to grass roots, sprinting and hill-climbing and my company sponsors these great, fun events.
I try to put something back into the wonderful world of motoring for the pleasure it has given me and my family throughout our lives.
