6th – 7th August SS Annual Weekend (held in conjunction with the Club’s National Day and Weekend) at Rockingham Castle, nr Market Harborough in Leicestershire (postcode LE16 8TH) which boasts an absolutely genuine mediaeval castle and fine grounds in which to hold our prestige annual event. Also there is nearby a Speedway where we will be holding a track day on the Friday to be followed by a barbecue in the evening. On Saturday there will be a scenic tour organised by the Club's local Area (44) and a Club Dinner in the evening. Then, of course, there is National Day and SS Annual Day on the Sunday.
Full details of everything happening at this event will be published in Club News in the 'Jaguar Driver' over the coming months and a full colour advertisement will appear in each issue. For information about Rockingham Castle, go to its website at www.rockinghamcastle.com.
The venue for our Saturday evening Club Dinner is the Holiday Inn Corby which is very close to Rockingham. We have also reserved rooms at the hotel for those wishing to stay the night before going on to the event at Rockingham on Sunday. To book the dinner and accommodation (£149.50 per couple) call Club HQ at Luton 01582 419332 and they will arrange everything for you. Please mention that you are from the SS Register when doing so.

In addition, on the 2nd Thursday of every month throughout the year, we have a general meeting for the Register at the Holly Bush, Potters Crouch, St Albans Herts. We are the only Register to do this and, although it is long way for many Members, everyone is welcome to join us at this quintessentially English Pub, very close to St. Albans, for our monthly get together. It is always an informal and lively meeting and enhanced because our 'other halves' regularly join us. The pub is run by Club Member Ray Taylor and his wife Karen and their daughter Vanessa and son-in-law Steve. It is really one of the nicest pubs in the whole area and the menu is excellent - so we tend to eat there as well!
For map of how to get there go into www.streetmap.co.uk and quote the postcode for the Holly Bush - AL2 3NN. Also see the Holly Bush's own website www.thehollybushpub.co.uk.
