The annual E-Type Day and concours is being organised for 2021 including a Cavalcade Hill Climb at Prescott Hill. All Jaguars/Daimlers are welcome to participate.
The E-type Register of the Jaguar Drivers Club is organising a Cavalcade Hill Climb at Prescott Hill on the 7th June 2020. The event is open to all marques of cars, not just Jaguars. Below is a brief look at the day and the night before. For more information please contact the coordinator as shown below. The aim of the day is to provide a hill climb experience for as many drivers as possible. However organisational and safety constraints will limit the overall number of cars which can be accommodated on the hill.
The hill climb is over the 1,127 yards Championship course, with a climb of 300 yards. Can you drive it in under the “mean minute”? The run takes in the Orchard Corner, the Pardon Hairpin, Ettores, the Esses and the Semi-circle, then beware the drop to the left of the track, before reaching the finish. The track is usually driven in just First and Second gear. All drivers and passengers must attend a safety briefing before being allowed on the track. This is a fun hill climb; it is not a race against other drivers. Helmets are not worn.
Bring a picnic and watch the cars taking on the hill or you can eat at the restaurant overlooking the climb or at one of the concessions.
The ETR has kept the entry fees as low as possible over the years but the hire of the site is significant and rising significantly annually and it has been agreed that entry fees must go up if the event is to survive.
