Area 47 - Anglesey & North Wales - RAF Valley Friends and Family Day

Area 47 have arranged for the JDC to be invited to the RAF Valley Family and Friends day on Friday 7th August.

This event should be one of the highlights if not, the highlight, of Area 47s calendar for 2026 - the RAF Valley Friends and Families day on Friday 7th August.

This is a very very special event in the Anglesey area and is by invitation only and Ian and Jo Walley have been working hard to contact the right people at RAF Valley to obtain an invitation so that JDC Area 47 can attend this event, which in 2025 attracted over 4000 people.  The day includes activities ranging from live music to food, classic cars together with exciting airshow displays throughout the day.

There is a lot of paperwork to complete as it is a Ministry of Defence establishment, but we hope to get that all done and dusted and sent back to them in the near future.

The actual event starts at 12 noon and runs till 5 pm. Area 47 will be arriving on site at 10:30 am to 11 am where we will be shown to our display area.
