Join the Jaguar Drivers' Club for the Classic Car season finale at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show where we have had a presence ever since 1988.
With almost 73,000 visitors, the 2025 NEC Classic Motor Show was a great success. The JDC stand in Hall 1 was busier than usual with everyone loving our race themed display of Mark Is, IIs and Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust’s 1956 Reims winning D-type. This year we are back in Hall 1 in a prime position, at Stand 740 and have something very special planned.
We will be exhibiting two versions of Jaguar's ultimate supercar - the XJ220. But not just any two - both of these have V12 engines!
For most people a 'classic' car is the one they aspired to when they were growing up and later learning to drive, the poster on the bedroom wall. For one generation it was the E-type, for a later one the XJS and moving on another twenty years the XK8 hit the streets powered by Jaguar's first V8 Engine. This was followed by Jaguar's first supercharged sports car the XKR.
These are now not only considered classics in their own right, but very firmly in the affordable bracket so Jaguar ownership is no longer the expensive hobby it used to be. We will start our XK8 story with the earliest known XK8 - a factory prototype from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, plus a couple of XK8s from members. Lastly, but still waiting confirmation we are hoping to finish the line-up with a very famous XK8.
With impeccable timing we are happy to welcome an automotive artist, Shane Hilton, to our stand to display a couple of items of his work - limited editions of an XJ220 print and the XK8 that featured in the launch at the Geneva Motor Show. He has previously exhibited in the London Art Biennale in 2023 and joined the JDC and JDHT at Oulton Park this August.
