BLOWN AWAY AT GAYDON!

July 2024 | Issue 768 | Page(s) 12

It’s not called Supercharged Saturday for nothing and this year it really did live up to its name, as an astonishing 485 supercharged Jaguars poured down the slip road at Gaydon to line up in front of the British Motor Museum.

This year’s event was particularly special because it marked 30 years since Jaguar began supercharging production cars, beginning with the X300 XJR in 1994. Equally special, and rather poignantly, were the final 5.0-litre versions, on display just a few days before the very last internal combustion Jaguar rolled off the production line at Castle Bromwich.
