After the pretty solid showing in Berlin, the Formula E circus made its way to Shanghai for the next double-header at the end of May. Could the Jaguar boys capitalise on some good results and get closer to drivers’ and constructors’ championships this year? Let’s find out.
The race takes place at the Shanghai International Circuit, built in 2004 and designed by Hermann Tilke, who has been responsible for most of the modern Formula 1 tracks. Being used for the Chinese F1 Grand Prix for most of the years since, it’s a very different proposition to the street circuits and the Tempelhof Airport track the teams have just come from in Berlin. It’s the first time the Shanghai circuit has been used for Formula E so let’s hope it produces some good racing.
