After the hottest week of the year, it was a bit of a comedown to arrive at Aintree early on a Saturday morning in pouring rain. With a smaller field than usual and a depleted number of Jaguar entries, our team was hard to spot in the paddock but I did find them hiding behind their trailers. Aintree is quite a special venue on our calendar – like some of the other circuits we visit, it has a strong historic link to motorsport, having been home to the British Grand Prix in the ’50s and ’60s.
