When our Club Chairman, Roger Kemp, visited JDC Area 23 Chilterns last year, we chatted about Jaguars (of course) and I mentioned that a good friend from Toronto had sent his 1988 XJS V12 to the UK because he couldn’t find reliable mechanics to look after his car back home in Canada.
Since he resides mainly in Asia and only returns to Toronto, where the car is kept, for short trips, he cannot keep it properly maintained. As I already own a 1997 XK8, my friend was happy for me to ‘adopt’ his XJS and oversee its maintenance here in the UK, so I booked the car in with Tom Lenthall Ltd, a Jaguar Land Rover specialist in Wokingham, for a health check’.
