A month on from the Mille Miglia and the next date in the northern Italian motorsport calendar is the annual Cesana- Sestriere hill climb. The weekend is part of the Italian historic hill climb championship series comprising nine events taking place the length and breadth of Italy. Running alongside this competitive event is the opportunity for selected classics to have a couple of 10.4km runs up the spectacular road, this year with a brandnew road surface, put down for the first stage of the Tour de France.
