This year, we were treated to two gatherings of very different models on the Saturday and the Sunday. On Day One it was the turn of the Mk 1, Mk V, and Mk VII to Mk IX saloons to share the limelight at Nigel Webb’s private tribute museum to his racing hero, Mike Hawthorn. On Day Two, it was the turn of manual XJ40/X300 XJRs and XJ Coupés – no automatics need apply! Alongside the invited cars on both days was a cross-section of treasures from Nigel’s own collection, ranging from rare specimens such as the C-Type he races himself and his famous long-nose D-Type plus other interesting models, including his F-Type Project 7. Sadly, his V12 XJ220 was not around on this occasion.
