After a few years in the doldrums, the Croft Nostalgia Weekend – as it used to be known – is going from strength to strength under the banner of the Historic Festival. This year, the weather was perfect – warm and sunny – for the North-East’s annual celebration of historic motor racing, classic cars and 1950s entertainment at North Yorkshire’s 2.1-mile race circuit near Darlington. To add to the atmosphere, exhibitors and visitors were invited to dress in period costume.
