I suppose it all
starts with the
behaviour of gases
– a topic that is
so far-reaching that
its influence affects
almost everything we
do. We, and many
other forms of life, must draw breath. We
enjoy or endure the weather. The avian
world took to the air and the trees in
order to escape predators and watching
birds tells us a lot. The nay-sayers who
predicted that man would never be able
to fly must not have considered that
birds could do it. Never confuse a naysayer
with a Malcolm Sayer.
