Electricity, we are constantly reminded, is clean. That is true at the point of use, but look a little deeper and we see it is not necessarily true at the point of generation. We are also reminded just how clean and sustainable photovoltaics (PV) and wind power are. The insuperable drawbacks are either not understood or played down.
