The Jaguar Car Club of Victoria’s two-day Concours and Display event at the end of November (summer in Australia!) is the annual highlight of the VCC’s activities for the year.

Although slightly marred by persistent on-and-off showers on both days, this did not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants or the quality of the cars being judged or displayed. The concept is that cars entered in the concours for judging are looked at the day before (on the Saturday) when they are scrutinised for condition, cleanliness and originality. The contestants started out in the car park but, as the rain persisted, they were moved into the extensive club rooms of the Jaguar Car Club. This made judging a bit of a challenge because they had to resort to using torches to look into all the nooks and crannies to find things missed or not original. In spite of this, it worked okay.
