A driver is faced today with a significant number of vehicle options which all have different characteristics. One of the things the modern environmentalist considers important is energy efficiency. Improving energy efficiency causes traditional mucky sources of energy to do less harm and allows modern cleaner sources to carry a greater share of the load. Vehicles wholly or partially propelled by battery power are distinguished from other forms of transport by the wall of nonsense and misnomers created around them.
