No series covering Jaguar’s competition history would be complete without mention of Scotland’s Ecurie Ecosse – founded more than 70 years ago, it became one of the most charismatic teams of the 1950s and ’60s

 Jaguar C-Type XKC 042 was bought for Ecurie Ecosse in April 1953 and raced variously in the UK and Germany. It was sold early in 1954 to John Keeling and is seen here at Silverstone in May that year
