The inaugural competition for The RIWAX Trophy will be held at National Day on 3rd August 2025 at Whittlebury Park.
Run in a similar vein to a 'pride of ownership' competition, The RIWAX Trophy is open to anyone who has not previously taken part in concours and would like to enter a Jaguar or Daimler of any model or age.
The JDC is pleased to welcome UK Distributor – RIWAX as a new sponsor for the Club and the event.
RIWAX was founded in 1967, with its headquarters and production facilities located in Bern Switzerland. RIWAX has provided high quality service and product innovation in the world of car cleaning for almost 60 years.
It manufactures innovative, simple-to-use high quality products for the environment of tomorrow. The products are easy-to-use and are designed for the do-it-yourself home enthusiast and vehicle preparation professionals alike.
The RIWAX Trophy will be presented to the overall winner to keep for 12 months. The Trophy will need to be returned to the Club ahead of next year’s National Day.
However, further to the trophy RIWAX will also be presenting gifts comprised of car care products for not only the winner but also for the two runners up. This gives contestants three opportunities to end the day a winner.
Judging for the competition will be loosely based upon the old bronze level concours. This means that the areas of the car that will be judged only comprise of the exterior (to include the wheels) and the interior. Under the bonnet and the underside of the car will not be judged. However, in addition to the general cleanliness and condition of the car, the judges will also take a little time to talk to the owners and consider the provenance of the vehicle. For example, family owned for a long time, one of the last / last made.
The competition seeks to involve members who put a lot of effort into keeping their car in excellent condition but do not, for whatever reason, want to compete in concours.
The RIWAX Trophy is ideal for owners who use their cars regularly but still want the fun of competing at National Day.
Whatever your reason for entering, The RIWAX Trophy aims to provide an enjoyable experience and if you are one of the three winners – something nice to take home too!
To ensure sufficient judging support you will need to pre-book your place, remember if it does rain on the day we can always judge how well the water is beading on your car!
