The Jaguars make up a significant portion of the 27-car collection that also includes classic examples from Triumph, Mercedes Benz, Mini and Aston Martin.
Leading the sale is his incredible XJ220. Finished in Silverstone Green, this remarkable example of Jaguar’s ‘90s supercar has only covered 3,800 miles and comes with an extensive service history, detailing all its annual services as well as a clutch and fuel cell replacement. It is one of just 69 UK-supplied right hand drive 220s and carries an estimate of £500,000 to £550,000. Its registration number ‘220 C’ will remain with the car.
It’s joined by a recreation XKSS, estimated at £325,000 to £375,000, it’s a recreation so accurate that Jaguar themselves used it as the basis for the Classic’s Reborn programme. The car was commissioned in 2006 and built by D-Type Developments. Over a 3 year period the car was constructed from either newly manufactured parts made to the original Jaguar specs, original items reconditioned or from new old stock.
The other Jaguars from the collection include a pair of C-Type tool room copies of XKC001, the 1951 Le Mans Winner and XCK003, the legendary 1952 Mille Miglia car campaigned by motor racing icon Sir Stirling Moss and Jaguar icon Norman Dewis.
Concluding the Jaguars from the collection are a trio of E-Types, comprising two Series 1 roadsters and a later Series 3 V12 Coupe. The roadsters are both 1967 examples, one finished in opalescent green with a tan interior, the other was originally a personal export bound for New York, upon its return to the UK the car underwent a significant restoration and a conversion to right hand drive. Finished in sought-after Heather, the Series 3 car has undergone an extensive restoration and is equipped with manual transmission.
