Jaguar TCS Racing achieve two wins on home soil

Last weekend (July 26/27) saw Jaguar TCS Racing achieve two wins on home soil during the final stages of the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, with Nick Cassidy winning both of the London E-Prix races. Cassidy took his third win in as many races to snatch second place in the Drivers’ World Championship in the final round of the campaign, with his victory and fastest lap also helping Jaguar TCS Racing to claim the runners‑up spot in the teams’ standings – ahead of Nissan.

Cassidy’s car #37 led all the way from first on the grid, despite being pipped in the Duels Final by Dan Ticktum – the Kiro driver who had a five‑place grid penalty applied after contact with Mitch Evans (in Jaguar TCS Racing’s car #9) the previous day. Nick was helped to that Duels Final by teammate Evans generously backing off when they went head‑to‑head in the semi‑final.

After the race start, Nick was fully in command as he claimed his sixth win in Jaguar TCS Racing colours. This, his final outing for the team, marked his eleventh win overall in Formula E. A five-second time penalty for a speeding infringement, meanwhile, saw Mitch officially finishing in fifth position, denying Jaguar TCS Racing what could have been a sensational double podium.

Nevertheless, a victory in the season finale – with five coming in the last six races – ensured that James Barclay’s tenure as Jaguar TCS Racing’s Team Principal ended in fine style. He departs after 127 races which achieved 22 victories, 53 podiums, 13 poles and the 2024 Teams’ World Championship title. Barclay commented: “This is a truly incredible way to end my time with this remarkable team. Two wins out of two at our home event, our fourth victory in a row, and moving into P2 in all three championships is a tremendous achievement that everybody at Jaguar TCS Racing should be proud of.”
