TONY MERRYGOLD APPOINTED NEW CHAIRMAN
OF JAGUAR DRIVERS’ CLUB

TONY MERRYGOLD

The Jaguar Drivers’ Club has appointed Tony Merrygold as its new Chairman. Tony, who joined the board of directors in July, having been a member of the Jaguar Drivers’ Club for more than 30 years, takes over the reins from Roger Kemp who has retired for health reasons.

Tony previously worked as Vehicle Collections Manager of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT), which saw him curating the world-famous displays at the Collections Centre at Gaydon. He continues his involvement at JDHT as an archive volunteer.

Tony said: “While it is sad that Roger had to retire, it is an honour to take over as Chairman, and I thank the members of the board for their confidence in me. I look forward to shaping the direction of the club as we go into our 70th year and beyond.”

First item on Tony’s agenda is the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, at Birmingham’s NEC from 7-9 November, where Tony hopes to meet members and fellow Jaguar and Daimler fans on the Club’s stand in Hall 1. Then planning will start in earnest for the Club’s 70th anniversary celebration at Brooklands on 11 and 12 July 2026.

Roger, who served as Chairman for six years, will remain part of the Club as a Non-Executive Director.
